I hope everyone’s weekend was good, and I hope you have a Great 4th of July. I was thinking that this holiday was going to be hard. With all the Ribs, pork chops, stakes, sausage, baked beans, potato salad, and a plethora of desserts. (My mouth is open and my tongue is hanging out in hopes that some of the barbeque sauce would get on it) But you know it’s turning out not to be so bad. My father in law put some fish on the grill, so that is what I am going to eat. I will be partaking of a real salad instead of some potato salad. But that is not to say that I don’t want any of all that good stuff. Those ribs smell like I was in heaven and the way I died to get there was congestive heart failure. But anyway the real reason for this post is to tell everyone….. I RAN A MILE. I was looking on My Fitness Pal and I saw an option for running where your average speed was 5 miles per hour. Well when I walk I usually average about 4 miles per hour speed. So I was thinking how much harder can it really be to run 5 mph when I walk 4 mph? So I decided that Saturday morning I would try to run a mile. Side note: I made this decision after I walked on Friday so this was more likely the endorphins’ making the decision than it was me. Anyway Saturday morning I got up, got dressed, and went outside. I set my Pandora station and I open Noon and I choose the Running workout YAAAYY! Now don’t get me wrong I did not run fast at all, during a part of my mile I was running maybe .5 miles faster than I walk. But the most important thing is that I WAS RUNNING! This is something I have wanted to work my way up to for a while. So I am so happy and proud of myself, plus I burned like 50 more calories running the same distance that I walked. Now all I have to do is keep it up so that I can build up my endurance. Oh and buy some new shoes because I’m a runner!
