A medium and a size 14

When I first started this weight loss journey I wore a size 18 pants. I know I can’t believe either, not that I WORE a size 18 because you see the pics at the top of this page, but that I just typed that. Anyway when I went to visit my mom I wanted to look nice and not just have on my work out clothes all day like I usually do here. So I packed some of my shirts and jeans. The only problem is that the jeans were soo big I could take them off without unbuttoning or unzipping them. I actually had an incident in Wal-Mart were I bent over to get something off the bottom shelf and my mom had to tell me to get up fast because something was in plain sight that should have been out of view. Plus it is not attractive to have on a cute top and some baggy jeans. This is not the 90’s and I am not a member of TLC. Side note: Remember how they use to wear the fitted shirts with the baggy jeans or the too big overalls. I don’t know about you guys but I know I tried that a time or two with my weave ponytail. Anyhow I decided to get a pair of shorts which is something else I don’t do (wear shorts). But these new shorts come down almost to my knees and that is right up my alley. So I went looking and I realized that I now needed a size 14 shorts. I was so happy you don’t even understand, I put those shorts on the next day and you could not tell me anything. I knew I looked good! Then to top things off we were going to take Olivia to the pool but I didn’t pack my bathing suit so I had to get a new. I have not gotten a new bathing suit in over 6 years. Even though we went to Orlando in 2008 while I was pregnant I still wore the same one. If I remember correctly that bathing suit was a large. This time when I went shopping for one I got to buy a medium instead of a large. When I got back to my mom’s house I tried on my new bathing suit for MH and he was pleased and so was I. I had curves in it instead of being shaped like a lumpy box. I know I still have a long way to go but seeing the results genuinely keeps me motivated.
