And sometimes you just want to put those nuts in a Ziploc bag, beat them with a hammer, and sprinkle them over a banana split. I have been eating mixed nuts as a snack ever since I really started to try to lose weight. I saw on Dr. Oz that nuts have some type of oil in them that is good for you. So because I love Dr. Oz I have been eating them as a snack every day. However sometimes I just want some chips and salsa or guacamole or even a snicker, you know it satisfies your hunger.Nevertheless I have recently changed from salted nuts to almonds with cinnamon. I read somewhere that cinnamon can aid in loosing belly fat because it acts as an Insulin Mimicker which simulates the appearance of insulin to your body, still guiding the sugar you ingest into the appropriate areas of your body. So basically adding ½ teaspoon to 2 teaspoons of Cinnamon to your diet a day can help you lose that belly. I am going to try it and tell you if I see any results. They say you can add it to your coffee, tea, or even oatmeal. But if you plan on trying this remember that it has to be ground cinnamon with no sugar added. Also I went to Wal-Mart and they have cinnamon as a vitamin if you would like to try it that way. It has a whole host of other benefits as well like lowering you bad cholesterol, helping to boost your memory and cognitive function, relieving arthritis pain, and it is a great source of manganese, fiber, iron, and calcium. So if I don’t lose my gut in the process I will still be doing something good for myself.
