Or maybe it’s just bacon. It elicits the same olfactory response in me as MHs’ cologne. My Knees get weak and my mouth starts to water and I want to jump on the source of the smell. The only difference is when I smell MH I usually burn calories and when I smell bacon I consume them. I am visiting my mom’s house so when I did my 3 miles I was in unfamiliar territory. However I was not going to let that keep me from exercising. So I just turned on Noom started walking and went around the whole complex which is equal to a mile. I still needed 2 more miles and I saw that the gate was open and the mall was right across the street. So I decided to go across the street and start walking around the mall. As I was walking I started to stumble, I didn’t know if it was because it was hot and I was getting tired but I thought to myself I should not be tired yet. Then I noticed that I was really happy and in a good mood. That is when I realized the feeling and recognized the smell. It was bacon! The mall has a Ryan’s in the parking lot and I had just started to pass it when the smell of their breakfast buffet wafted pass my nose. I have not had bacon since I first started trying to lose weight. If you have been reading my blog you know I love hamburgers and fries but bacon comes in a close second. So that smell made me want to take my walk right through their front door but I didn’t, it may have been because I didn’t have any cash on me but whatever the reason I didn’t go. It did however make me want to work a little bit harder and finish those two miles to get away from that smell, which I did. The only thing that put a damper on the walk was that after I walked 3 miles I had to walk up 3 flights of stairs to get to my mom’s house. Tomorrow I will start Noom before I walk downstairs so that I can make the walk up and down the stairs count.
